Job Description: Engineering SME for CISF Project
- Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise and SME personnel to develop engineering data packages, analyses, drawings, reports, cost information, scheduling, and other quality products.
- Support the creation of a Critical Decision (CD) - 1 package for a federal Consolidated Interim Storage Facility (CISF) for spent nuclear fuel.
- Contribute to designing a facility with multiple buildings and systems, including I&C support.
- Project Context:
- Part of an effort led by the Department of Energy (DOE) - Office of Nuclear Energy (NE), directed by the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Spent Fuel and High-Level Waste Disposition.
- The Statement of Mission Need (CD-0) was obtained on May 3, 2024.
- The primary scope involves developing the Conceptual Design for submission with the CD-1 package, in accordance with DOE O 413.3B.
- Additional Details:
- Designing a facility with multiple buildings and systems, requiring I&C support.
- PE license is not required but preferred.
- This is a part-time position that can be performed remotely.
