Job summary

Rocket Air Flight Academy is seeking a Dispatch Manager in Melbourne, FL to lead the Dispatch, Customer Service, and Line Service teams. The role focuses on scheduling flights, coordinating with operations, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, weather monitoring, and maintaining accurate records, all while delivering an exceptional experience for students and instructors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; bachelor's preferred.
• At least 1 year of aviation experience.
• Experience managing and developing a team.
• Proficient with MS Office and Flight Schedule Pro.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day Dispatch, Customer Service, and Line Service operations for safe, efficient flight training.
• Coordinate with Flight Operations, Maintenance, and Fleet Management on schedules and aircraft availability.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation; oversee onboarding and training of personnel.
• Monitor weather and safety protocols; communicate conditions affecting schedules.
• Maintain dispatch logs, billing-related activities, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with FAA Part 141 and Part 61 where applicable.
• Develop and enforce scheduling practices and process improvements.
• Provide effective leadership and development for Dispatch personnel.
