Job summary

Menzies Aviation in San Diego is hiring for an airport operations role. You will coordinate flight release, fuel loads, and communications with operations, air carriers, and ground handlers to ensure smooth service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Pre-employment physicals and drug testing are required. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
• Possess/maintain a valid driver’s license and FAA airport identification/seals
• Able to lift/move/push up to 70 lbs
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug test

Responsibilities

• Communicate flight release and fuel load information to operations
• Maintain communication with line operations and air carriers via two-way radios
• Coordinate operations with airline and ground handlers
• Maintain flight logs and update flight schedules
• Coordinate with billing for services and prepare final bill
• Arrange accommodations when delays occur
• Assist in gate assignment planning
• Assist passenger services as required
• Suggest weight and balance preparation per airline requirements
• Meet station attendance standards
