Job summary

Textron is seeking a 2027 Internship in Indianapolis to support Textron Aviation customers in the Customer Service Maintenance Engineering department. You’ll apply technical principles to develop and improve inspection-related maintenance plans across Textron Aviation product lines.

This paid, 10-week summer internship offers mentorship, hands-on projects, and opportunities to work with experienced professionals.

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Aircraft Management, Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to quickly grasp new concepts when faced with unfamiliar tasks.

Responsibilities

Research, develop, and provide solutions to complex inspection-related maintenance issues.
Follow procedures for collecting and analyzing product data and inspection task findings.
Frequent internal customer contact.
Represent Product Support on internal and cross-functional projects.
Analyze problem areas and evaluate alternatives to meet needs.
Find best solutions for maintenance program changes or procedural changes using strategic thinking.
