Job summary

The Broward County Board of County Commissioners’ Aviation - Development Division seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead complex capital projects from design through completion. You will manage design consultants and contractors, oversee contract documents, and ensure alignment with program objectives.

This role requires a solid background in architecture, civil engineering, or construction management, plus extensive field oversight, value engineering, and effective coordination with

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management or closely related field.
• Requires eight (8) years of professional engineering and/or construction management experience relevant to airfield and landside construction projects.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver's license during employment and maintain authority to drive on County business.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an SIDA badge with a customs seal.

Responsibilities

• Manage Airport Capital Improvement projects through coordination of design consultants and contractors.
• Oversee contract documents, change orders, amendments, and progress tracking.
• Review design and constructability, perform value engineering, and ensure payments are fully supported.
• Conduct field visits to assist County staff in solving problems and reviewing progress.
• Coordinate across project contracts to ensure compliance with schedules and designs.
