The role emphasizes planning, field oversight, value engineering, coordination with engineers and vendors, and maintaining compliance with FAA/FDOT standards. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Requires eight (8) years of professional engineering and/or construction management experience.
• Ability to interact courteously with the public, vendors, contractors and coworkers.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage design consultant and contractor contracts for airport projects.
• Plan and prioritize work, review design and value engineering of documents.
• Track construction progress and review progress reports and invoices.
• Conduct field visits to support county staff and review on-site issues.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, deadlines and budgets.
