Job summary

The Weitz Company, a full-service construction firm, is seeking a Senior Project Manager for an Aviation-focused project based in Steamboat Springs, CO. This on-site role requires relocation for the duration of the project and leadership across multiple medium-to-large projects within a dynamic team environment.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in construction and strong general contractor experience, with a proven track record in aviation, commercial construction, and mentoring others.

Qualifications

• Industry-related college degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of ten years of construction experience including project management.
• Experience leading, teaching, developing and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management direction to project teams.
• Ensure project teams implement and execute company policies, procedures and processes.
• Understand and establish contract terms, obligations and budgets; review and enforce prime contract terms and obligations.
• Accept overall responsibility of risk management and mitigation for assigned project(s).
• Collaborate with project team to execute project goals and build high morale.
• Coordinate with project team to create and manage the project schedule and manage change orders.
