Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers in Los Angeles seeks an Associate Vice President - Client Service Leader to drive aviation engineering projects and lead client relationships. You will advance business development, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and oversee airfield design efforts from concept through construction.

The role requires deep experience in aviation projects, strong communication, travel readiness, and a track record of delivering high-quality design solutions for public and municipal clients.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 12+ years of aviation engineering and project management experience.
• Professional Engineer license (Texas) or ability to obtain within 4 months.
• Experience producing airport/airfield design drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of business development fundamentals and client relations in aviation.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships and participate in business development initiatives.
• Prepare statements of qualifications, conduct interviews, set goals, and represent the firm at conferences.
• Travel as required to meet clients and project sites.
• Provide engineering design for airfield projects including runway/taxiway and drainage systems.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with marketing, practice group director, project managers, and partners.
