Job summary

Solairus Aviation is seeking a Full-Time Client Aviation Manager (CAM) to lead a flight department at the KFXE airport. The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and exceptional service while aligning with Solairus’ culture of service, safety, and integrity.

The CAM will supervise pilots and crew, manage training, scheduling, and compliance with FAA and company policies, and collaborate with clients to ensure reliable operations. Must be willing to relocate within 2 hours of KFXE.

Qualifications

• Management background with a demonstrated track record of exceptional leadership skill.
• NBAA CAM certification or other applicable leadership training is preferred.
• Experience in multiple facets of training for flight operations personnel.
• Budget development and management experience.
• College degree and/or advanced (non-flight) training.
• Interpersonal communication skills to coordinate activities, identify problems, answer questions, pass information, and promote department goodwill.
• Track record of working in environments striving to implement best practices in all facets of flight operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises assigned personnel to ensure compliance with Solairus, FAA and other manuals and regulations.
• Monitors dress code and conduct of all assigned personnel to maintain high standards.
• Maintains current read and file of all Solairus memorandums.
• Coordinates scheduling and reviews training with appropriate training contractor.
• Coordinates maintenance test, training and other flights not initiated by client schedule.
• Develops scheduling procedures with clients to promote reliable, efficient aircraft scheduling.
• Approves and schedules PTO for all assigned personnel.
• Updates flight coordinator on schedule changes and related matters.
• Conducts meetings to coordinate activities and promote goodwill.
• Approves expense accounts for assigned personnel.
• Participates in interview processes for new personnel.
• Solicits Client Responsible Officer input for operational issues; notifies anticipated needs for pilot relief.
• Submits reports per Operations Manuals with copies to Client Responsible Officer.
• Revises manuals and publications for aircraft.
• Maintains Training Currency and Monthly Flight Time Records for crewmembers.
• Ensures timely submission of training records, medicals, and other operations data.
• Promotes customer goodwill and SOLAIRUS image.
• Participates in Safety Management System implementation and initiatives.
