Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. in Rapid City, SD, is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join our Aviation Midwest group.

You will help develop plans and specifications for airport design projects, perform AutoCAD/Civil3D drafting, and assist with construction administration and site inspections as needed. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field (or will obtain within six months) and is prepared to travel frequently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field, or able to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Developing plans and specifications
• Analyzing and preparing engineering reports and construction cost estimates for airport design projects
• Performing drafting tasks in AutoCAD and Civil3D to generate plan sheets
• Assisting with construction administration and inspection tasks including field work (weekends and nights as needed)
• Reading FAA Advisory Circulars, geotechnical reports, and survey data to support project designs
• Other tasks as assigned.
