Job summary

Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to join the Aviation group in Lansing, MI. You will support design and field observation of aviation projects and collaborate with project teams to deliver quality solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, internship experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required or completed by hire date.
• Internship or related civil/transportation engineering experience preferred.
• EIT certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designing aviation civil engineering projects, including taxiways, aprons, runways, and others.
• Assisting with analysis and preparation of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs.
• Performing QA/QC tasks including leading design reviews.
• Assisting with development of construction cost estimates for various projects.
• Visiting project sites to monitor progress and perform other duties per the contract documents.
• May serve as onsite project representative and assist with client communication.
