Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc in Seattle, WA is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to join the Aviation group. You will design aviation facilities, support reports, and perform field observations to see projects through from design to construction.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, internships in civil/transportation, and familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, plus strong communication and client-facing skills; travel ~25% and growth opportunities in a collaborative, employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university by date of hire.
• EIT certification is highly preferred.
• Internship experience in civil/transportation engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designing aviation civil engineering projects such as taxiways, aprons, and runways.
• Assist with analysis and preparation of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs.
• Perform QA/QC tasks including design reviews.
• Assist with development of construction cost estimates.
• Visit project sites to monitor progress and duties per contract documents.
• May serve as onsite project representative (days or nights).
• May assist with client contact and meetings.
