Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join the Aviation Midwest group in Rapid City, SD. Responsibilities include developing plans, analyzing reports, and drafting with AutoCAD/Civil3D for airport design projects.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field, and are prepared for field work, travel up to 50%, and construction inspection tasks. Visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field (or equivalent with six months to hire).
• Willingness to travel ~50% and pass background check for airport sites.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D is preferred but not required for all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Developing plans and specifications for airport design projects.
• Analyzing reports and cost estimates for projects.
• Drafting in AutoCAD and Civil3D to generate plan sheets.
• Assist with construction administration and inspection at project sites.
• Read FAA Advisory Circulars, geotechnical reports and survey data for designs.
• Other tasks as assigned.
