Job summary

Heads Up Technologies is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to design, configure, integrate, test, and support advanced aircraft cabin systems. This role demands close collaboration with customers and internal teams to translate requirements into reliable solutions and to support installations and commissioning.

The position emphasizes hands-on systems engineering with significant customer engagement and travel, including nights and weekends on a rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or avionics technician experience.
• 2+ years of systems engineering experience in an aerospace related field, or at least five years as an avionics technician with a strong focus on customer engagement.
• Ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time to customer sites and industry events within and outside the United States.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Experience with audio and video systems, aircraft electronics, and aircraft wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with XML, databases, networking, and error log analysis.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• This position requires participation in an on call support rotation for nights and weekends and travel up to 50 percent of the time, including travel outside the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design system configurations and documents for aircraft installations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate customer requirements into solutions.
• Test concepts and configurations for new products and systems.
• Create wiring/configuration documentation and GUI definitions.
• Provide onsite and remote support for cabin systems commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Assist customers in implementing customized solutions and share insights with product teams.
• Perform support during nights/weekends on a rotation.
