Heads Up Technologies is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to design, configure, integrate, test, and support advanced aircraft cabin systems. Travel up to 50% is required, with on-site installations and commissioning across domestic and international locations.

The role blends hands-on systems engineering with frequent customer interaction. A related engineering degree and aerospace experience, plus strong communication skills, are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related engineering discipline or avionics.
• 2+ years of systems engineering in aerospace, or 5+ years as avionics technician with customer engagement.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to customer sites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with audio/video systems, aircraft electronics, and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with XML, databases, networking, and error log analysis.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and document system configurations and interfaces for aircraft installations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer requirements and guide product updates.
• Develop test cases and procedures for system-level testing and validation.
• Provide on-site and remote support during commissioning, troubleshooting, and aftercare.
• Participate in on-call support rotation for nights and weekends.
