Job summary

Bowman Engineering and Consulting, Inc. seeks a Building Automation Specialist (BAS) Engineer - Aviation to plan, design, integrate, commission, and optimize BAS/EMS for airport facilities.

You will work with airport owners, operators, and vendors to deliver reliable, secure building systems, develop narratives and sequences, support FAT/SAT, and drive energy savings and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or related field.
• 5+ years in BAS, controls, or facility automation.
• Experience with BAS for large commercial, institutional, transportation, or aviation facilities.
• Experience with HVAC controls, energy management, and MEP integration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze BAS design solutions for aviation facilities.
• Design, specify, and integrate BAS, HVAC controls, lighting controls, and energy management systems.
• Develop control narratives, sequences of operation, system architecture diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate BAS requirements with MEP and technology disciplines.
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and equipment selections.
• Participate in FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot BAS performance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Gather and analyze facility performance data for energy savings and efficiencies.
• Prepare technical reports, project updates, and client presentations.
• Attend project meetings, conduct site visits, and provide technical guidance to clients and teams.
