Job summary

MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions is seeking a Controls Engineer to read plans, perform hardware and software engineering, and commission BAS on new and retrofit projects. You will analyze specifications, interpret financials, and develop operation sequences in a collaborative team.

The role reports to the BAS Controls Engineering Manager and involves coordination with Sales, Mechanical Engineering, Field Operations, and Energy Teams to improve efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
3–5 years of experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, or similar design tools.
Experience with installation and operation of commercial HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

Read, analyze, and interpret plans, submittals, specifications, and control drawings.
Perform hardware and software engineering and network-level commissioning for BAS on new and retrofit projects.
Interpret project financials and apply value engineering to understand cost impacts.
Develop control sequences of operations and procedure manuals.
