Job summary

Kalitta Air, Llc in Oscoda, MI is seeking an Apprentice Program Manager to lead the USDOL Approved Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Apprentice Program within Maintenance Training.

You will establish policies, coordinate training schedules, maintain records and ensure regulatory compliance, while interfacing with USDOL, FAA, and Michigan Works. Strong communication, organization, and trainer coordination are essential to success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• A&P certification preferred.
• Experience in aviation maintenance or related field.
• Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trainers, tasks and trainees.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage Apprentice Program Department processes and identify changes to improve quality.
• Develop and maintain training schedules ensuring required training is delivered.
• Maintain the Kalitta Air Apprentice Program Manual information.
• Interface with maintenance & quality disciplines to address training concerns.
• Ensure adequate apprentice records are established and maintained.
• Coordinate with OJT and Instruction/Development teams to evaluate training.
• Analyze apprentice courses for effectiveness against policies and procedures.
• Interface with USDOL, Michigan Works, FAA and local agencies for compliance and grants.
• Monitor and evaluate curriculum effectiveness and track outcomes.
