Job summary

Kalitta Air LLC in Oscoda, MI is seeking an Apprentice Program Manager to lead the USDOL Approved Airframe and Powerplant Apprentice Program within Maintenance Training. You will design policies, schedule training, coordinate with OJT and Instruction/Development teams, and ensure regulatory compliance with USDOL, FAA, and Michigan Works.

This role emphasizes data-driven monitoring of curriculum, maintaining program manuals, and collaborating with quality and maintenance teams to ensure training

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• A&P or both Certifications preferred.
• Experience in aviation maintenance, technical operations, or related field.
• Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trainers, tasks, and trainees simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage Apprentice Program department processes. Identify changes to enhance quality and submit maintenance program revision requests.
• Develop and maintain a training schedule ensuring apprentices receive all required training.
• Maintain the Kalitta Air Apprentice Program Manual information.
• Coordinate with maintenance & quality disciplines to address training concerns for apprentices.
• Ensure adequate apprentice records are established and maintained.
• Coordinate with the OJT Program and Instruction/Development team to evaluate instruction and skills measurements.
• Analyze apprentice courses for effectiveness and applicability to policies and procedures.
• Interface with USDOL, Michigan Works, FAA and other agencies for compliance and funding.
