Job summary

The City of McAllen, TX, seeks an Aviation Crew Leader to guide daily activities of maintenance and custodial teams serving the airport terminal and related infrastructure. You will coordinate tasks across terminal buildings, baggage handling, HVAC, passenger boarding bridges, and essential systems to ensure safe, efficient operations.

• Oversee maintenance and housekeeping for terminal facilities, baggage handling, HVAC and chiller systems, PID bridges and electrical/plumbing systems.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with airport maintenance standards, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to lead, coordinate, assign, and monitor the daily activities of Aviation Maintenance and Custodial personnel responsible for maintaining airport terminal facilities and related infrastructure. This position oversees maintenance and housekeeping activities associated with terminal buildings, baggage handling systems, HVAC and chiller systems, passenger boarding bridges, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and airport support facilities. The Aviation Crew Leader ensures assigned personnel complete work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established airport maintenance standards, regulatory requirements, and operational needs. This position works under general supervision and exercises independent judgment in coordinating work assignments and responding to operational issues.
