Job summary

Koniag Data Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced AV/VTC Engineer to support AV/VTC systems for USDA in Washington, DC. This role focuses on engineering, operation and maintenance of complex conference rooms to keep remote teams connected and productive.

Responsibilities include designing AV solutions, configuring Crestron/AMX, managing Cisco Meeting Server and VCS, and providing Tier 2/3 support through ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in AV engineering or VTC support.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco AV/VTC systems, including desktop and complex room systems.
• Working knowledge of Crestron and AMX control systems.
• Experience with Cisco Meeting Server and Cisco Telepresence VCS.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, SynergySky, Polycom, and OWL technologies.
• Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in fully integrated AV environments.
• Ability to produce clear and accurate technical documentation.
• Preferred: federal government or enterprise IT experience.
• Project management experience overseeing AV installations.
• Knowledge of Cisco TMS for monitoring AV uptime.
• CTS or Cisco/Crestron certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design complex AV systems and conference rooms to meet customer needs.
• Produce high-quality technical drawings and documentation.
• Recommend and integrate new and emerging AV technologies.
• Analyze enterprise systems to ensure 99.9% uptime and protect data.
• Program and manage Crestron and AMX control panels in AV rooms.
• Administer and maintain Cisco Meeting Server and Cisco Telepresence VCS.
• Support the convergence of Cisco VoIP and Cisco AV technologies.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all AV room systems.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for APHIS and AMS AV customers.
• Monitor and respond to AV tickets in ServiceNow, meeting SLAs.
• Travel to remote offices for VTC room installs and surveys.
• Supervise AV installation teams and coordinate network configuration.
• Manage large conference calls via Teams, Zoom, or similar platforms.
• Provide customer training and knowledge transfer to engineers.
