Job summary

The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers in Georgia (Glynco) seeks a Telecommunications Specialist GS-0391-12 to support planning, acquisition, testing, integration, installation, and operation of telecommunications and audiovisual systems for large-scale events and trainings.

You will troubleshoot equipment, coordinate with stakeholders, maintain documentation, and help manage budgets and procurement related to IT and multimedia gear.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and supporting large-scale events.
• Ability to install, test, and maintain audiovisual and telecommunications systems.
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures for technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical support for audiovisual, video teleconferencing, telecommunications, or multimedia systems for events.
• Operating, troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, or configuring equipment such as projectors, monitors, audio systems, microphones, and video conferencing gear.
• Coordinating event production requirements with customers, management, staff, vendors, and facilities.
• Reviewing, preparing, or troubleshooting presentation files and multimedia materials for accuracy and synchronization.
• Supporting planning, maintenance, upgrade, or integration of audiovisual or networked systems.
• Developing procedures, schedules, and records for use, operation, and security of systems.
• Assisting with budget, procurement, warranty, and inventory related to equipment.
• Identifying issues and proposing solutions to management.
