Job summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a CCoE Telecommunications Engineering Technician III (Telecommunications Engineering Tech, III) to support a Federal Government client at Ft. Gordon, Georgia. The role provides on-site IT and A/V installations within the CCoE Transformation program.

Schedule is currently onsite and may change with contract needs. The candidate must obtain Top Secret clearance, US citizenship, and HS/GED.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience testing and/or integrating A/V equipment.
Ability to follow basic flow diagrams.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Good verbal and written communications abilities.
Experience using MS Office products.
Must be able to lift items up to NIOSH limits.
Must be able to stand, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods.
Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
Must be able to work in high places, as well as small, cramped, or confined spaces.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must maintain a valid passport.

Responsibilities

Builds AV racks based on drawings provided by the engineering team.
Leads on-site integration and installation.
Labels communications infrastructure including cable, panels, patch cords and electronics.
Installation and mounting of equipment, such as monitors, speakers, and microphones, to ceilings and walls in secure spaces.
Fabrication, termination, and installation of AV cabling.
Testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of various AV systems.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing existing AV systems.
Performs inventory management and record configuration information on installed equipment and software modules.
