Job summary

GCA is seeking an Audio-Visual Technician to support AV systems at government sites, primarily Quantico. You will assist with setup, testing, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment for conferences and events, under supervision of senior technicians.

The role includes client interaction, documentation, and compliance with safety standards. Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of AV experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and must be eligible for DoD Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Avixa Certified Technology Specialist certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4-6 years of experience with AV equipment, low‑voltage wiring and structured cabling; rack building is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, test, and operate AV equipment for events and meetings.
• Install cabling (HDMI, CAT6, XLR) and assemble AV racks as needed.
• Troubleshoot and maintain AV systems; escalate to senior staff when required.
• Provide on‑site and remote client support and documentation of events.
• Assist with inventory, safety compliance, and reporting.
