Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking two AV Technicians for a contract role in Wilmington, NC. The role requires 1+ year of experience installing racks, cameras, mics, conferencing gear, and TVs to a central system, with hands-on low voltage wiring skills. A professional, client-facing approach and own laptop are required.

The position is fully onsite in Wilmington with a pay range of $22.00–$25.00 per hour. Local travel to job sites weekly is expected, and benefits may apply per company policy.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience installing racks, cameras, microphones, conferencing equipment and TVs to a central system.
• Hands-on experience with low voltage wiring is expected.
• Professional, client-facing demeanor required.
• Must have own laptop for configurations and remote login support.

Responsibilities

• Install and test AV equipment to ensure operation before leaving site.
• Maintain neat, hidden cabling and professional installations.
• Perform cabling work and basic troubleshooting for clients on site.
• Travel to local job sites weekly with own vehicle.
• Safely use tools for punchdowns and terminate jacks in communications closets.

Job Description

We are looking for 2 AV Techs with at least 1+ year of experience installing racks, cameras, microphones, conferencing equipment and TVs to a central system. The AV Tech preferably should have hands on experience working with Cisco room kits, Extron, Crestron, or Biamp.

Qualifications And Responsibilities

• The AV Tech will need to have experience using a punchdown tool, snipes, and knife, as they will be doing punchdowns in the communications closets and terminating jacks.
• The AV Tech should have strong understanding of low voltage wiring.
• The AV Tech will be working in a client facing environment and should be presentable and professional.
• The AV tech will be working with local clients completing AV installation work, cabling work, and troubleshooting as needed.
• The AV Tech should have the ability to install and test AV equipment in order to make sure its operational before leaving the jobsite.
• The AV Tech will be responsible for making sure all cabling is neat and hidden from site as much as possible.
• The AV Tech is required to have their own personal labtop for configurations or for the corporate office to remote login to assist with configurations.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
