Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking two AV Technicians in Leland, NC to install and service audiovisual systems on client sites. You will work with racks, cameras, microphones, conferencing gear and displays, ensuring proper wiring, testing and neat cabling.

A hands-on background with low voltage wiring and experience with room kits or processors is preferred. This contract role is onsite in Leland, involves travel to local sites, and requires a professional, customer-facing demeanor.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of AV installation experience (racks, cameras, microphones, conferencing equipment, TVs).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco room kits, Extron, Crestron, or Biamp preferred.
• Must be able to climb 8-10 ft ladder.
• Must have a vehicle to travel to jobsites weekly.
• Must have a credit card for expenses which will be reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Perform punchdowns in communications closets and terminate jacks.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of low voltage wiring.
• Work in a client-facing environment and present yourself professionally.
• Install, cable, and troubleshoot AV systems at client sites.
• Install and test AV equipment to verify operation before leaving the jobsite.
• Keep cabling neat and hidden from sight.
• Use personal laptop for configurations or remote access.

Job Description:

We are looking for 2 AV Techs with at least 1+ year of experience installing racks, cameras, microphones, conferencing equipment and TVs to a central system. The AV Tech preferably should have hands on experience working with Cisco room kits, Extron, Crestron, or Biamp.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• The AV Tech will need to have experience using a punchdown tool, snipes, and knife, as they will be doing punchdowns in the communications closets and terminating jacks.
• The AV Tech should have strong understanding of low voltage wiring.
• The AV Tech will be working in a client facing environment and should be presentable and professional.
• The AV tech will be working with local clients completing AV installation work, cabling work, and troubleshooting as needed.
• The AV Tech should have the ability to install and test AV equipment in order to make sure its operational before leaving the jobsite.
• The AV Tech will be responsible for making sure all cabling is neat and hidden from site as much as possible.
• The AV Tech is required to have their own personal labtop for configurations or for the corporate office to remote login to assist with configurations..

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
