Job summary

Harvard Medical School IT seeks a Lead AV Technical Specialist for Simulation and Clinical Skills to ensure reliable AV and simulation technologies for OSCEs and clinical education. Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related experience required. Higher education may count toward experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting audiovisual, simulation, or instructional technologies in higher education, healthcare, or enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and AV systems in real-time, user-facing settings.
  • Strong technical communication skills, including creating clear documentation and user training.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and provide reliable support during live or time-sensitive activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the SimulationIQ (SimIQ) application, including user provisioning, role administration, system configuration, and updates.
  • Provide technical support for simulation and clinical education technologies, troubleshooting issues for faculty, students, and staff.
  • Support and operate control room technologies during OSCEs and clinical activities, ensuring reliable systems.
  • Ensure technical readiness of all simulation and AV systems through testing and maintenance.
  • Manage video recording, storage, and QA processes for education content.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation and training resources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver user training and guidance.
  • Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement.
