Emerging Technology and Simulation AV Specialist
The Emerging Technology and Simulation AV Specialist works under the Health Sciences Information Technology - Educational Technology Team supporting the University’s six Health Science Schools.
This position supports the operation, maintenance, and advancement of audiovisual systems and immersive technologies used in simulation and instructional environments. This role partners with faculty, simulation staff, and IT to ensure reliable, high-quality learning experiences supported by integrated AV and extended reality (XR) technologies
The Emerging Technology and Simulation AV Specialist operates out of Scaife Hall and is primarily responsible for supporting our two Emerging Technology Labs and one clinical skills lab in Scaife Hall as well as a second clinical skills site at 5 th Avenue and Halkett Street.
2 years of AR/VR experience
Manages and performs work across multiple areas of the University’s Information Technology (IT) platform and infrastructure. Conducts analyses for proposed IT projects. Assists with team members' goal determinations. Provides IT support and coordinates network activities.
Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
