Job summary

Ford AV in the United States seeks a Project Engineer to design and oversee sound, video, lighting, and acoustical systems, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and profitability goals.

You will create technical drawings, test system performance, and simplify complex concepts for clients and teams, collaborating with Project Managers, Job Superintendents, and cross-functional groups to ensure quality from design to installation.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in CAD/AutoCAD software for design drawings
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and data management
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Relevant project engineering experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Design audio, video, lighting, and acoustic systems aligned with customer specifications and profitability goals.
• Prepare submittal drawings and engineering data for enclosures, consoles, and installation instructions.
• Test and evaluate system performance to ensure quality and design conformance.
• Simplify and communicate technical details for customers, sales teams, and installation technicians.
• Document customer and vendor interactions with dates and concise summaries.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Job Superintendents to prioritize quality control and installation guidance.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment across divisions and profit centers.
