Ford AV is seeking a Project Engineer to design and oversee sound, video, lighting, and acoustical systems, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and profitability goals. You will create submittal drawings, test system performance, and simplify complex technical concepts for clients and internal teams.

Collaboration with Project Managers, Job Superintendents, and cross‑functional groups is essential to ensure quality design, installation, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• CAD/AutoCAD proficiency required.
• Programming experience with C, C#, Crestron, Extron, AMX.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design audio, video, lighting, and acoustic systems aligned with customer specifications, installation requirements, and profitability goals.
• Prepare submittal drawings and engineering data, including designs for custom enclosures, consoles, and installation instructions.
• Test and evaluate system performance to ensure quality and alignment with design standards.
• Simplify and communicate technical details for customers, sales teams, and Installation Technicians.
• Document customer and vendor interactions, including dates, names, and concise summaries.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Job Superintendents to prioritize quality control and provide clear installation guidance.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment by collaborating across divisions and profit centers.
