Ford AV in Houston, TX is seeking a Project Engineer to design and oversee sound, video, lighting, and acoustical systems, ensuring alignment with client specifications and profitability.

You will produce technical drawings, test system performance, and translate complex concepts for clients and teams, collaborating with Project Managers and Superintendents to deliver quality installations and strong client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/AutoCAD.
• Programming experience (e.g., C, C#, Crestron, Extron, AMX).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, typing, and 10-key proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design audio, video, lighting, and acoustic systems to meet customer specs and profitability goals.
• Prepare submittal drawings and engineering data for enclosures, consoles, and installation instructions.
• Test and evaluate system performance to ensure quality.
• Communicate technical details clearly to customers, sales teams, and technicians.
• Document customer and vendor interactions with dates, names, and summaries.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure quality control and install guidance.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment across divisions.
