Ford AV is seeking a Project Engineer to design and oversee sound, video, lighting, and acoustical systems for diverse clients. You will create technical drawings, test performance, and translate complex concepts for clients and teams. Collaboration with Project Managers and field staff ensures quality and profitability.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, documentation, and clear communication, with opportunities for professional development and certification in a dynamic AV environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/AutoCAD and engineering drawing standards.
• Experience programming AV/Control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX).
• Clear oral and written communication for clients and teams.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office, typing, and 10-key.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee AV systems per customer specs and profitability goals.
• Prepare submittal drawings and engineering data for enclosures and consoles.
• Test and evaluate system performance against design standards.
• Explain technical details to customers, sales teams and installation staff.
• Document customer and vendor interactions with dates and summaries.
• Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to guide installations.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment across divisions.
