Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced AV technician for a contract-based, fully onsite role in New York, NY. The candidate will independently operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and manage AV systems across conference rooms and events, including VIP meetings and live productions.

Responsibilities include pre-event checks, scheduling support, vendor coordination, and ensuring adherence to SLA metrics. A strong background in Cisco, Poly, Crestron and Zoom/Teams/WebEx platforms is essential, with CTS

Qualifications

Experience with corporate AV environments and live event support.
Strong communication and follow-up skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team and build stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

Independently operate, maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, repair and manage AV systems and peripherals.
Daily morning checks of conference rooms to ensure readiness for meetings.
Own pre-meeting AV checks for high-profile events and VIP meetings.
Assist with scheduling AV support for events and meetings.
Troubleshoot, upgrade and replace AV components as needed.
Understand AV signal flow and vendor equipment.
