Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an AV Service Technician to support a national enterprise AV integrator in the NYC metro area, including NYC, Westchester, and surrounding Northern New Jersey markets. This field service role emphasizes service, troubleshooting, and basic software adjustments in executive boardrooms and enterprise spaces.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of AV field service experience with an AV integration company.
• Hands-on AV troubleshooting in live corporate environments.
• Familiarity with DSP platforms for system review and fault diagnosis.
• Experience with Crestron Toolbox for device diagnostics and basic management.
• Understanding of AV signal flow, HDCP/EDID, and network basics.

Responsibilities

• Respond to AV service tickets across enterprise environments.
• Troubleshoot AV systems including control interfaces, audio, video routing, and connectivity.
• Diagnose AV-related network issues (IP conflicts, connectivity, basic switches).
• Review DSP configurations and perform diagnostics; Biamp Tesira experience preferred.
• Manage Crestron Toolbox for device management and basic system checks.
• Apply firmware updates, resets, and config changes as needed.
• Support AV techs and systems including Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and AV-over-IP platforms.
