Job summary

Verkada is seeking an AV Engineer - East Coast to deliver an exceptional AV experience as the primary regional presence on the East Coast. You’ll own NYC conference rooms and executive spaces, coordinating with the AV Engineering and Workplace teams, while being the sole regional resource when needed.

You will travel 30-40% to domestic and international locations for buildouts, with a requirement to be on-site in the NYC office five days a week. Strong communication with executives is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of corporate Audio Visual experience with hands-on installation.
• Rack building, cable termination, device mounting, and AV drawings interpretation.
• Experience with video conferencing platforms and hardware (Zoom Rooms, Neat, QSC, DTen or similar).
• Knowledge of IT networking as it applies to AV; Dante or AV-over-IP a plus.
• CTS/CTS-I, Q-SYS, Dante or other AV certifications are desirable, not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary AV support resource for East Coast and Central offices: room health, troubleshooting, repair of AV systems.
• Provide white-glove AV support for executive meetings in the East Coast region.
• Deploy as core installer on medium/large buildouts: rack fabrication, cabling, mounting, testing.
• Document builds with as-builts, room records, configuration notes for handoff to operations.
• Assist with commissioning, preventive maintenance, and upgrades across the deployed fleet.
• Perform daily room sweeps to verify conference room health for daily use.
• Coordinate with vendors and Workplace Team during projects and operations.
