Job summary

GCA in Virginia seeks an Audiovisual Systems Engineer to maintain and support AV systems across classrooms, conference rooms, and auditoriums. You’ll perform PMIs, calibrations, and hardware/software updates while ensuring seamless integration with networks and security.

The role requires at least 3 years of AV design/install experience, a Secret clearance, and Avixa CTS with CTS-D target within 90 days. Crestron/Extron/AMX expertise is essential along with strong communications and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years designing, installing, and maintaining AV systems.
• Secret clearance required.
• Avixa CTS certification; CTS-D within 90 days.
• Experience with Crestron, Extron, or AMX.
• Crestron Toolbox experience.
• Experience configuring Audio DSPs.
• Strong AV design/installation knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and climb ladders.
• Clean driving record; able to drive a company vehicle locally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain AV systems including video conferencing and control.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on AV systems.
• Collaborate with AV team to integrate with networking and security.
• Stay current with industry trends and recommend upgrades.
• Conduct site surveys, create schematics, and document configurations.
• Provide technical opinions and documentation for updates and expansions.
