In this role, you will be responsible for designing, quoting, and supporting complex audiovisual systems for commercial environments. You will work closely with sales, project management, and technical teams to deliver integrated AV solutions that meet client needs.
This position is ideal for a seasoned AV professional with a strong background in commercial AV system design. You should have a current CTS certification and hands-on experience with AutoCAD and quoting tools such as Jetbuilt or D-Tools.
Required Skills & ExperienceCTS certification (Certified Technology Specialist) – required
3–5+ years of experience in commercial AV system design and engineering
Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating system schematics and layout drawings
Experience using Jetbuilt or D-Tools for project quoting and system documentation
Strong understanding of AV signal flow, audio/video switching, and control systems
Familiarity with AV industry standards and best practices
Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC) – preferred or in progress
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork
Designing and engineering AV systems for commercial environments
Creating system schematics, rack elevations, and floor plans in AutoCAD
Preparing detailed quotes and equipment lists using Jetbuilt or D-Tools
Reviewing project requirements and translating them into functional AV designs
Coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure proper integration and installation
Supporting project implementation and providing technical expertise as needed
Maintaining certifications and staying current with evolving AV technologies
