Pay Rate: 65/hr on W2 all Incl.

Willingness to TRAVEL to data centers throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region (NY & VA) and Texas

Job Description:

We’re seeking a skilled RCDD Cable Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and oversight of structured cabling systems for data centers and commercial spaces. You’ll manage end-to-end cabling infrastructure projects, collaborate with internal teams and vendors, ensure compliance with global standards, and maintain high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and document structured cabling systems (fiber, copper, AV/security, etc.)
• Oversee installation, testing, and validation of infrastructure
• Coordinate with MEP engineers, architects, contractors, and IT teams
• Prepare scopes of work, estimates, RFPs, and as-built documentation
• Ensure compliance with BICSI, ISO/IEC, and regional standards
• Travel to data center sites as needed (NY, VA, TX)

Requirements

• Active RCDD Certification (required)
• 10+ years’ experience in structured cabling, preferably in data center environments
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and Visio
• Strong communication, project documentation, and vendor management skills
• Familiarity with Corning, CommScope, and other major cabling vendors
