Job summary

AVI-SPL, Inc. is seeking an AV Installation and Commissioning Technician to lead final testing and commissioning of complex AV systems. You will work with the Project Manager to document test results and ensure project objectives are met.

Responsibilities include reviewing SOW, testing AMX/Crestron and DSP systems, programming minor changes, and traveling to various job sites as needed. A strong background in AV systems, schematics, and IP networking is required.

Qualifications

• Must have professional communication with clients and colleagues.
• Proficient with test and calibration equipment.
• Ability to diagnose complex system problems.
• Knowledge of IP networking and signal flow in AV systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and architectural blueprints.
• Test point-to-point functionality of AV systems.
• Review SOW to ensure installation quality and completeness.
• Test integrated systems and troubleshoot AMX/Crestron and DSP setups.
• Field install control programs (AMX/Crestron) and upload/download capabilities.
• Write code for DSP systems and perform minor programming changes.
• Fine tune AV systems for optimal performance and network IP devices.
• Provide client training and final job documentation as needed.
