Job summary

University of North Carolina Charlotte seeks a Technology Support Technician to resolve classroom AV and related support requests, including intercom, phone, and email tickets. You will monitor devices, create user guides, and assist with installations across campus learning spaces.

Applicants should have a high school diploma with tech experience and AV hardware/software certifications. Occasional travel to The Dubois Center in Uptown Charlotte is required with a standard 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

Audiovisual support experience in higher education.
Customer service experience, preferably in a technical support role.
AV hardware and software certifications ( AVIXA CTS , Extron, Crestron, Biamp, etc)
Previous experience installing professional AV equipment (projectors, displays, control systems, AV switching and distribution systems)

Responsibilities

Resolve all service requests reported via classroom intercom, phone, email, or the Classroom Support ticketing system.
Monitor device connections and proactively resolve AV hardware issues.
Assist with installations, design considerations, and support for the Dubois Center in Uptown Charlotte.
