Job summary

DataVox, INC. is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Design Engineer in Houston to partner with Account Managers, providing pre-sales consultation and solution design for AV solutions to local and regional corporate accounts.

You will develop AV budgets, BOMs, and technical proposals, present solutions to clients, and coordinate with project teams from discovery to completion while staying current with AV technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in AV design or related fields.
• 2–5+ years’ experience with Audio Visual system design and pre-sales.
• Strong customer-facing and presentation skills; experience supporting consultative technology sales.

Responsibilities

• Support account managers during customer discovery meetings, site surveys, and presentations.
• Develop AV solutions, budgets, BOMs, and technical proposals based on customer requirements.
• Present technical solutions and recommendations to customers, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Conceptualize AV system designs and determine system requirements.
• Assist with proposal development, scope creation, and technical responses to customer requests.
• Identify technical risks, scope gaps, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Provide technical expertise to support architecture, installation and planning of AV solutions.
• Coordinate project handoff meetings with operations and project management teams.
