Job summary

Guitar Center is seeking an Account/Business Development Manager to generate new AV system sales and expand client relationships across commercial and residential sectors. You will collaborate with engineers and team members to ensure seamless delivery and growth of client accounts.

The role emphasizes cold calling, site visits, and developing proposals to win projects, with a strong quota and travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of low voltage, audio-video, lighting, and/or shades sales experience in a commercial or residential sales environment.
• Proven ability to develop clients and meet annual quota.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Business development, cold calling, internet and other methods to generate new business.
• Interface with customers to understand needs and identify solutions and opportunities.
• Perform site visits to document field conditions and collect dimensions/photos.
• Develop AV diagrams and draft proposals with scope, schedule, and terms.
• Submit sales orders and participate in project meetings; manage content and orders.
• Forecast demand and expand sales within assigned territory; escalate customer issues.
