Job summary

Rentex Audio Visual & Computer Rentals is seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee the QC department, supervise 5–10 QC Technicians, and ensure rental equipment exceeds client expectations. You will handle staff training, scheduling, and performance reviews, coordinate repairs, and stay current with tools, test equipment, and industry trends to improve efficiency and quality.

This role operates in a warehouse environment, with full-time hours and potential weekend work during high-demand

Qualifications

• Education/experience equivalent to high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to troubleshoot and manage time in time-sensitive situations.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Occasional weekends, after-hours, and on-call work required.
• 3–5 years’ professional AV/rental/event production experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of a wide range of A/V gear with troubleshooting experience.
• Basic networking, GhostCast, SharePoint, PC and Mac OS skills a plus.
• Work with management to create daily routine checklist by May 31st.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Rentex equipment quality standards as established by Product Managers.
• Determines training needs and growth plans for QC staff.
• Configures personnel schedules to meet shifting business demands.
• Keeps current on tools and test equipment to meet QC demands.
• Facilitates client tech support phone calls.
• Evaluates damaged gear to determine repair/parts needs.
• Delegates tasks throughout the QC department.
• Assists in employee reviews, disciplinary actions, and onboarding.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Supports development of new policies to improve efficiency.
