Job summary

CTI in Piscataway, NJ seeks an experienced AV Project Manager to lead all aspects of AV integration projects, coordinating resources, scheduling, and client updates. The role emphasizes strategic planning, team leadership, and hands-on oversight of installations.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in commercial AV projects, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage budgets and timelines.

Qualifications

• An Associate's degree is preferred, but not required.
• Project Planning and Managing: 5+ years managing commercial AV integration projects, developing strategies, and coordinating resources, required.
• Communication and Documentation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in maintaining accurate project documents and client updates, required.
• Team Management: Experience in leading teams, including training and performance management, required.
• Technical Oversight: Hands-on experience with AV installations and providing creative solutions, required.
• Budget and Performance Monitoring: Ability to track and improve performance metrics, ensuring projects meet deadlines and budget goals, required.
• Travel: Meet the clients where they are and provide guidance to the technical staff on site. (Company paid, overnight travel estimated around 25%)

Responsibilities

• Strategize Like a Pro: Develop and implement strategies to achieve project goals, like a master chess player plotting the ultimate checkmate.
• Resource Ringmaster: Schedule all necessary corporate services and labor resources, including programming, touch panel wizardry, rack build magic, installation, and commissioning.
• Deadline Dynamo: Communicate project deadlines, specifications, and budgets to the AV install team with the precision of a Swiss watch.
• Document Detective: Ensure all project documents are current and accurate, from detailed drawings to comprehensive bills of materials and change orders.
• Client Confidant: Maintain a steady stream of communication with clients, providing them with timely updates on issues, scope changes, schedules, and project progress.
• Team Captain: Lead and inspire a team of talented employees, overseeing training and performance management.
• Delegation Dynamo: Delegate responsibilities with the precision of a maestro, ensuring that team members are identified, documented, and current.
• AV Superhero: Support the AV install staff in bringing projects to life, from installation and programming to final punch lists.
• Deadline Defender: Ensure projects stay on track to meet client deadlines and that the current margin accurately reflects the remaining work.
