Job summary

Louisiana State University is seeking an Audio-Visual Technician to manage AV operations, support, and maintenance in multimedia spaces across the LSU campus.

You will install and troubleshoot equipment, assist with live events, and coordinate software/firmware updates. Strong basic networking and comfort with projectors, monitors, and collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams) are important. The role is on-site and professional hourly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 1 year technical experience in AV equipment.
• Familiarity with installation/maintenance of multimedia equipment and networking.
• Proficient with basic audio-visual systems and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 AV support for multimedia spaces.
• Assist diagnostics and repair of AV equipment for instruction and research.
• Install and troubleshoot AV tech including projectors, LED monitors, IP networking.
• Perform monthly room checks and inventory control.
• Support live events and preparation of AV setup.
• Evaluate new AV technologies for operations.
