Job summary

Bluegrass Community & Technical College is seeking an Audio/Video Technician to support classroom and event AV systems and IT services on-site at the Newtown Pike campus. The role covers installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV hardware and related IT tasks.

The ideal candidate has a technical background in AV and IT with strong customer service and teamwork skills to assist faculty, staff, and students across the college.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in IT or related field with two years of IT experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree with four years of audio/video technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot professional AV equipment.
• Support AV-over-IP and network-connected systems.
• Assist with design, deployment, and upgrades of AV systems.
• Program and support room control interfaces and automation.
• Provide Tier I and II support for faculty, staff, and students.
• Maintain documentation including diagrams, inventories, configurations, and procedures.
• Coordinate repairs and warranty support with vendors.
• Collaborate with ITS teams, facilities, and vendors.
• Participate in technology projects and system upgrades.
• Deliver strong customer service and technical support to users.
