Job summary

Waveguide in McLean, VA seeks a Technology Expert to repair, maintain, upgrade and install AV equipment for clients. You will coordinate conference guests and services for multipurpose conference rooms, troubleshoot equipment and assist clients with conducting meetings in conference spaces.

Essential duties include managing events, setting up furniture, maintaining AV systems and providing high-touch service. Strong knowledge of networks and modern AV tech is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of network connectivity and firmware updates.
• Understanding of modern AV concepts and equipment.
• Experience with laptops, projectors, microphones, and remote participation tech.
• Crestron DMC-E certification and network certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills: MS Office, email, Internet.

Responsibilities

• Manages events for multipurpose rooms and meeting spaces.
• Sets up and breaks down furniture; ensures room cleanliness.
• Oversees and maintains AV equipment in managed spaces.
• Allocates conference spaces to maximize capacity.
• Delivers high-touch customer service during events.
• Keeps AV firmware and software up to date.
• Assists Tier 2 with hardware swaps as needed.
• Manages ITSM and daily email/phone requests.
• Follows safety and emergency protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
