Job summary

Ebode delivers integrated smart home and commercial technology systems. The Lead AV Installation Technician leads on-site installations of AV, lighting, surveillance, and automation systems while mentoring junior team members to ensure quality project delivery.

Candidates should have hands-on field experience, the ability to read drawings, and a personal tool kit. This full-time role is based in Plano, TX with some travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of AV, IT, or control system installation experience.
• Ability to read system drawings and adapt to scope changes in the field.
• Personal tool kit required; OSHA safety knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite installations and mentor junior technicians.
• Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Coax).
• Mount devices and build lace equipment racks; advanced device configuration.
• Coordinate onsite progress with Project Managers and communicate with clients.

AV Lead Installation Technician

Compensation: $35.00 - $45.00 / hour

Description

Ebode delivers integrated smart home and commercial technology systems powered by robust networking and reliable infrastructure. Our Lead Technicians are hands-on leaders - guiding installations of AV, lighting, surveillance, and automation systems while mentoring junior team members and ensuring quality project delivery.

You Are:

• A trustworthy individual. Hungry to learn and grow. Hands-on and love being in the field as opposed to being behind a desk. Technically inclined and always curious how things work.

You Have:

• Experience on construction sites. Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools. A dependable work history, strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and a team-oriented attitude.

Your Location:

• 1200 Commerce Drive, Suite 105, Plano, TX 75093

Your Schedule:

• Full Time - 40 hours per week
• Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm
• Some travel and flexible hours (weekends, early/late) as needed

Your Contribution to Ebode:

• Lead onsite installations and mentor junior technicians
• Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Coax)
• Mount devices at the ends of those wires (TV, speakers, cameras, access points, control devices)
• Build and lace equipment racks
• Advanced setup and configuration of devices
• Advanced understanding of networks
• Advanced troubleshooting of devices, wiring and connectivity issues
• Coordinate onsite progress with Project Managers
• Provide client communication, support, and training

Your Ideal Knowledge/Experience:

• +3 yrs of AV, IT, or control system installation experience
• Ability to read system drawings and adapt to scope changes in the field
• OSHA safety knowledge (preferred)
• Personal tool kit required
