Job Title: AV Hardware Technician Assistant

This is a contract remote role for an AV Hardware Technician Assistant. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to support the installation, setup, and testing of audiovisual systems in educational spaces. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Lead AV Technician to install and test equipment including cameras, speakers, microphones, servers, control systems, and other AV components. This role is hands-on and requires technical aptitude, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude. TRAVEL WILL BE REQUIRED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
• 2-3 years of AV installation experience.
• Basic knowledge of AV systems and components.
• Confidence in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds and work on ladders/stepstools when necessary.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn on the job.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to various job sites may be required.
