Job summary

Samsara in San Francisco is seeking an AV Engineer to own onsite and remote event operations, including video conferencing, streaming, and vendor management. You will join a small AV team inside the Core IT group, ensuring high-visibility events run smoothly for thousands of employees.

You must be onsite at least 3 days a week and have 2+ years in AV, Zoom experience, and knowledge of Q-SYS and Dante. The role offers a flexible remote model, growth opportunities, and a competitive base salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Experience with Zoom and Zoom Webinars.
• Willing to be in the office to support onsite events at least 3 days a week.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an AV environment.
• Troubleshooting experience during high-visibility events.

Responsibilities

• Join a small, dynamic AV team and optimize existing AV SME knowledge.
• Provide clear communication to business stakeholders.
• Coordinate and broadcast events to thousands of employees.
• Set up, run, and troubleshoot all general AV equipment in offices.
• Set up, run, and troubleshoot video conferencing and streaming equipment.
• Plan and integrate tools/services for workplace collaboration.
• Manage AV vendor relationships, contracting, and billing.
• Improve events to be better than the last.
• Coordinate AV configuration across geographies as we expand.
• Collaborate with internal partners and external vendors globally.
• Provide technical advice to presenters and leaders on tech requirements.
